Relations between Dynamic Logical Entities and Inherited Knowledge

There is a relation between dynamic logical entities that expands as we start to learn the universe around us. These consists of all the logical patterns we attain, think, expand, disseminate or produce etc. On the other hand is the Inherited Knowledge that we gain access as instincts from our DNA and ancestral origins plus from people who surround us.

I have been working on establishing a mathematical link between these two wonderful aspects of information and how it can be used to derive knowledge so that all the different random or sequential patterns can be studied to get each tiny or huge bits of information out of it. If anybody is interested in my work please feel free to assist me in the same.

Moore's Law can fail for the first time in History of Computing Power Growth!

Moore's Law is quite a famous and well known theory that one of the Intel's founding father's Gordon.E.Moore proposed. It said that processors size will be reduced and processing power will continue to rise every 2 years as the number of transistors on integrated circuits doubles approximately every two years. I have seen this law prove itself in all these years I grew up seeing hardware/software evolve.

Intel already have reached 22 nanometers scale size for the transistor. But now the challenge that has come up that how transistors can be made to so that they continuously shrink in size. All the nanolithography and  etching technologies that were evolved for the same seems to have been saturated and can no longer shrink the size of the transistors. Intel and other players in the market are already behind schedule to reduce the size to 18 nanometers and then 11 nanometers. According to a latest article in MIT Tech Review Magazine the same problem is being stated as a major concern for chip manufacturing companies worldwide.

Intel has tied up with ASML a nanoprecision intruments making company to evolve a new technology called EUV  lithography i.e. Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography. This technology holds the potential to further reduce the transistors size using ultraviolet light. But a major hurdle in this is the loss of light due to absorption of the light energy by the surrounding vacuum based systems. Whatever light is being thrown over a silicon compound is being lost and only 90% of it reaches the chip wafer. ASML is being largely funded by Intel to eradicate this problem and develop a solution so that a large number of chips can be manufactured at cheap costs. ASML's CFO has also urged other competitors in market like Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to tie-up with partners in order to let the semiconductor lithography technology evolve and prevent the failing of Moore's Law for the first time in history.

Currently as per all of the nano lithography technologies available for manufacturing processor chips at 22 nanometers level is not enough to bring the dimension further below atleast for 3 years in future. This will foresee a slight fall in the progress of processing power obtained. This would be a first instant since the discovery of transistors and Integrated Circuits that Moore's law pace will be reduced. Hoping that a new technology breakthrough in EUV lithography comes sooner. So that we are not devoid of growing processing power in future.

Conventional Datacenter versus Cloud Offerings

Conventional DataCenter comprises of basic storage and processing components, unlike the cloud which not only has all the features of a conventional datacenter but also integrated web analytics plus development and testing frameworks all present under a single architectural setting.

Conventional datacenters are always build from scratch as per the very specific requirements like if a business wants to host a large consumer base Java based website. Then they can only establish a dedicated static server plus can develop the site using the same server capabilities and host it there and then.

But what are the disadvantages: First is that a specific setup done on a configurated datacenter will always require add-ins like load balancers, indexers, web analytics tools, development frameworks installed with lots of custom settings and secondly setting up of an identical setup so that whatever the business desires to launch can be tested well.

All these hassles of detailed architectural insight and configurations helps in making a very precise datacenter that can exactly suit a requirement. But the cost of all this to be done comes to be huge as multiple vendors or multiple areas comes into feature which all needs to be looked into very carefully so that issues like spamming, virus attacks, scalability, high performance based delivery, excessive load handling, cache built-up for fast accessibility and search can be done. Moreover the person or business involved has to always keep the payments upfront even if the hosted product/service/site is not used by proposed consumers 365X24X7. Maintenance of the servers, code upgradation, utilization of web based analysis has to be continuously monitored and these all comes with cost involved which is always irrespective of the usage patterns.

Whereas on the contrary in a cloud based environment we already get most of the ''extra'' features like integrated scalability, global accessibility, high performance based delivery, analytics availability, and most important of all the security always enabled, protecting the underlying the products/services. A person/business always has to pay for what he has used in terms of processing power, storage, bandwidth, analytics derived, development or testing licenses used etc.

One more added feature is being implemented in cloud that nowadays give it the power of configuration as per the cloud hosting users i.e. we can setup our own work environment over a layer of preconfigured setups like for Windows we have Windows Devlopment Frameworks, Database, Web Services and Test management tools present all in Microsoft based technologies so that business can simply come and fix the architectural components available as per the needs and start developing, hosting or testing any product. This feature provided by respective cloud vendors have enabled the users to used any kind of web technology base and start their utilization without getting bothered too much about the base/ground level architectural designing and setup. Windows is just one example if a business wishes to have Google based APIs setup then they can use Google cloud services. If they wish to use Open Source then Amazon is there, if any CRM based application is to be developed then Salesforce is there and many more such wonderful combinations are available for the product/service industry.

The presence of web analytics all the time in the cloud helps derive the usage statistics across various geolocations and it proves to be boon if we are trying to read some kind of usage patterns across a variety of demographic locations globally. Whereas if we need to get the same capabilities in a conventional datacenter then a business would require a group of experts in all these fields who can actually setup the same and make  all these components available at all the time to the business clientele groups.

A conventional datacenter base is very good still if we are involved into evolving a new kind of architecture where a lot of hardware plus software plus firmware based experimentation is to be done which involves frequent revamping or playing up with each of the configurable components. In a cloud based environment we cannot experiment with their basic architecture as then all of the setup can be jeopardized. Cloud layers will be intruded and the impact that they might inflict can still be a rather interesting topic to study on :)

Also if we are trying to develop an application that forms a middle or back end component and which never has to be scaled up or downgraded or its performance simply don't affect the overall functioning of the system architecture then also a conventional datacenter is best suited. For example if we think on the lines of service providing computations for mathematical simulations or computational modeling etc. As in these kind of requirements we do not need rapidly scalable hardware or software requirements not it is to be used by a large number of users whose numbers vary from peak to low or vice versa or just exponentially. Unless the simulations are for testing these requirements itself.

So a new business model can arrive where a cloud provider can allow the developers or business to configure some of the basic architectural features of their cloud without impacting the already hosted business services/products. This is a challenging business solution but still if somebody can pitch in with a revolutionary idea/model/plan it can be more suited to business domains like banking where security is to be handled much more seriously and analytical components can be detached, communications layer can be replaced by ESB layer and so on and so forth.

Next promising business in cloud domain will be a cloud architecture very similar to Hyper-Hybrid cloud architecture just the difference will be in this business a single private/public cloud architectural components will be configurable rather the integration of services from various other hybrid clouds.

Future of Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing and Tablets!

The future of Cloud Computing as I think of is; forming the basic architecture of everything we will see on the internet nowadays whether it is banking, retail, entertainment or even all possible combinations of these all and many more. I foresee cloud to be the knowledge hubs of all the information mankind has generated till yet.

A vast semantics will one day run on them and ontology will define each move we will make on the internet. A giant brain you can think of it. Only verbal sayings will be able to generate actions, codes, etc on it. Cloud will monitor each person, every facility and will become not only the backend of all computational architectures but also front end. The possibility it holds is truly amazing also a new model has been introduced that is Hyper-Hybrid model which clearly shows that how easily multiple platforms or ESBs will interact and provide a service larger than any other existing architecture based virtual computation environment.

Mobile computing will form a thin layer over cloud based computational offerings largely in future. Only what new is going to happen that the mobile computing will have new interfaces rest all will be done in the cloud. Mobile devices will be just like thin clients and they will be interact with any one of their kind :P without any hassles or delays etc. The mobile devices will be more of augmented reality and gestures then. But mind tracking devices will have this ability in limited capabilities as if we look at consumer point of view this feature will be largely controlled and limited. Everything will be a computing surface then and even some sort of bio-electronics devices if introduced in future will prove to bring boom like in nowadays Apple, Samsung brings :)

Tablets will have the power to code and will replace the office desktops or any laptop on this planet. They will have easily detachable and up-gradable electronic capabilities. If nanotechnology pitches in then these devices will be mere sheets of paper embedded with billion processors and sensors that can be nurse to your doctor, your personal assistant and even your second brain ;) Multiple-multiple touch enabled surfaces will evolve that will become one single machine or multiple as your wish depending on the way you attach them. No charging will be ever required and they will never suffer wear and tear.

So I will keep writing on more future faces of technologies we see today. So keep on reading.....

Ultrabooks trend and Solid State Drives-Do they really worth the cost?

In the coming months we will be witnessing a rise in the ultra sleek laptops with high computing power but with an extra cost to be paid for the same. Extra cost is but indeed worth for the sleek design that involves the use of latest 2nd Gen Intel processors that are very very power efficient (Minimum 8.5 hrs of battery life) plus with high performance, along with this integrated cooling technology and SSD hard disks. Minor cost is contributed to the metal finished bodies of the laptops.

But the real turning point in personal computing market, we will be noticing in the coming years will not come from ever advancing processors which is largely on the verge of redefining Moore's law. But from SSD memory storage, this technology although is old as compared to its increased visibility these days. The SSD technology was previously not much used other than Apple products due to their high cost. But now as the time has passed and as the technology has advanced further the cost has come down a little. But what I see in short time is that as the competition for these SSD integrated computing devices will increase which enables fast boot, high speed data retrieval and transfer, reduced hard disk latency and no mechanical parts. This impacts majorly as now the laptops will become inherently shock proof, always available with fast boot-up and very light and easy to carry anywhere. This is a kind of revolution that although is motivated seeing the MacBook Air but now has the power to impact consumers of countries like India, China and other developing nations where consumers looks for variety and options.

I would like to appreciate the efforts of Intel, Fuison-Io, Violin Memory, Samsung, and many other who have together contributed to re-bring the charm in the consumer based laptop market with a variety of choices that people can enjoy buying and using ultimately. Kudos to Ultra-sleek tech rush, 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Intel Processors and SSDs.

Questions that have dazzled my mind since I started understanding Physics!

Have anyone reading this blog thought about anyone of the below questions then please comment:

1. Treating Knowledge as a Dynamic Logical Entity and setting its relations to machine learning?
2. Why when a ball dropped from a height cannot reciprocate the action if the same amount of energy is applied to it?
3. Does Probability really helps us in determining the right reaction to action or chance has no play in what happens its just our illusion to think that a particular could have happened in these many ways?
4. Is Entropy or randomness continuously grows in the universe, but if it would have been true then why are we still alive? Why the chaos has not destroyed everything in the act of random events?
5. Is there free will I don't think so as whatever happens it happens in the best possible way it should happen and if there would have been any other way then why that way was not adopted by nature (adopted can be replaced by chosen, selected, opted)
6. If all the things are governed by governing laws of physics then can we one day derive a formula to predict anything?
7. Do things continue to happen until a sort of symmetry is achieved? Symmetry can be also balance of equations.
8. Does free will has limits or does it itself is a limit bound entity? Does each atom, neutron etc has free will because if a law is universal it applies to everything in the universe just the implications might be different?

9. If there is randomness in a non-random (pre-defined law based world), then why does this randomness exists? Is it because it maintains the balance i.e.symmetry, or it is order itself but we misinterpret it as disorder, or something else?

How Steve Jobs (Apple Inc. Founder) stands above Larry Page & Sergey Brin (Google Founders), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook Founder), Bill Gates (Microsoft Founder) and many more!

Do I sound like an Apple fan or pro-Apple and anti-Google or anti-Microsoft, with this post's heading? Lol....no buddies I just got a thought when I was reading a news article that Facebook IPO is being offered sometime this week...and Mark Zuckerberg has commented that next wave of FB's revenue should be based on the fact that how their mobile based advertising strategy goes.

Thinking of FB's first IPO I linked that it is the only worthwhile creation Mark has done since FB has come into existence nothing new or major has been done in it...despite the fact it is still growing. This scenario related me to Microsoft and it's success story that was driven by Windows operating system, the only major product that still drives their revenues. Then again I linked it up to Google which still largely derives it's revenues from it's majorly successful search engine.

The thing that I am pointing out is that there is only: ONE major product that defines; the success stories of Google, Microsoft and Facebook. There founders never really did something outstanding enough to give the world a series of continuously successful products that could serially amaze them :) They just relied on their core products and are living happily since then. But Steve Jobs never took this road.

He was a genius in business strategy and innovative thinking. He never relied on his core product which was initially Apple Computer. He continuously gave his consumers new products which always had the X-factor in them. Examples are Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, iPad and Macbook Air. Along with continuously enhanced operating systems both for its desktop computers but also for mobile devices. He never relied on single product success rather he delivered a new range of amazing products to the world that showed that his class and his way of thinking was far greater than his competitors.

This thought has given me teaching that although it is good to relish the fruits of one good thing that you have done once in your life but if you have the ability to do it once, then why not twice, thrice or more. When you continue to give new ideas and work on them with the same zeal you will be more successful and satisfied. And more importantly you will stand apart and people will remember you as a consistent performer not just a one time profitable show.

One golden way to be a Billionaire (Money or Motive-in any terms) :)

Hi All,

I have been thinking about being a Billionaire and almost every single person in this world would have thought about it once in a week, once in a month, if not daily; unlike me :) During all these years since, I got my brains build up to understand what's happening around me and largely the "World". I came to know that I was automatically driven by my; you can say genetic or destined or human instinct towards people like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Li Ka Shing, Larry Ellison, Steve Jobs and many more billionaires like these. They all showed one characteristic that they knew one right way to solve a particular problem in a way that nobody else viewed it, and even if anybody viewed it, did not think of solving or implementing the way these people did.

Even if we don't talk about entrepreneurs or capitalists or businessmen etc we can still look at Einstein, Newton, Kepler, Stephen Hawking, Gandhi, Martin Luther King etc they all saw a problem and acted upon a solution that stood out of all the other solutions that were available in their time. So all these years our history, our present both are telling us that we can achieve what we want whether it is money in billions, fans in billions, students in billions, followers in billions, or employees in billions etc we have to think in such a way that we can eradicate a single problem we face or see others facing. Now this can be designing of an app, a device, a formula, a theory, a movement etc...It can be anything that drives you in a way such that the destination you foresee at the end of this path leads you to the final solution of the problem.

So if we can think in an innovative way, think differently, think about all the right possibilities to do something that can make a difference to life in whatever way it can be...it will surely help us become a Billionaire...But then too the most important thing will be to pursue it and make it a reality one day...Until you succeed in building up what you have thought differently you cannot be added up in the list of people given above :)

So think different, think innovation, think billions :)

Magnetospirillum Magneticum-- A bacteria that can write the future of Memory Storage and eventually computing!

The name "Magnetospirillum Magneticum" (not a X-Men Magneto variant ;-) ) is a name of a the most famous searched bacteria since the past 3 days. If the bacteria would have had a healthy brain it would have be posing for page 3 clicks ;-) ha ha...

Jokes apart...this bacteria although lived a unknown life suddenly came into light when it was found by researchers of University of Leeds and University of Tokyo; that it has the power to create magnetic nano magnets that are of largely equal and  specific shapes i.e. cuboids each time this bacteria digests iron nano magetic cuboids are the bye-products. The polarity also is measured to be pretty much similar with all the other cuboids and is one of the rarest phenomenon we can witness on Earth.

This bacteria does one amazing thing it uses proteins to digest iron particles in the lake, pond water and then produces Magnetite nano particles which it again uses to align itself to earth's polarity in order to find places where there is plenty of oxygen for its survival.

Scientists believe that if they can successfully produce the protein by which this bacteria does all this amazing feat, they can replicate the same process outside bacteria to create magnetic particles which can be used to make next generation memory storage. Nano wires to make circuitry for new age biological processors that can truly revolutionize the computing industry.

Currently all the memory storage devices, processors etc are made via deposition/etching/lithography kind of approaches which down the line have become cheaper but still the cost remains high enough as compared to the novel methods such kind of biological methods can introduce. One more area researchers should focus is not only reducing devices size but also increase the battery life which has remained stagnant since the past 2 years or so...Lets hope to see a major innovation in that area too sooner...

Why Indians will never have to worry about S.T.E.M student base ever!!!

Referring to Obama's statement last week where he emphasized that all the outstanding and performing international students will not only be given Student Visa extensions plus they will be offered jobs so that their outflow to their home countries be checked. And they could help in USA's further growth and the maintenance of it's technology pioneer lead over other nations. Obama also strongly made a point like all the previous US President's to focus on promoting a strong student base in the fields of S.T.E.M which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

To the contrary Indian Prime Minister will never have to worry about the same as we already have a large pool of technology graduates in our country which are outnumbering the jobs offered to them each year on and on. Our international counterparts and rather Mr.Obama also might be guessing that why this happens only in India? Why doesn't he have a technological pool of smart generation lined up to compete and bring the best out of them and in return bring name to their country?

The answer is that in India each parent pushes their kids to study something meaningful out of which; a kid when grows up one day, can derive a living out of it. They try to make a solid knowledge base in their kids and this starts firstly with teaching of mathematics. The mathematics is usually taught in each Indian home to the kids using the favorite things they like: number of candies bought and shared, counting each and every bite of food they have, etc. Science and Mathematics is in the very basic of our education system and is taught daily by Indian parents to their kids. Indian citizens have a mindset that has been proved as a boon for the nation but rather it can also be termed as less liberal that here young kids are always brain-trained to believe that the only way to get a happy & satisfied plus respectful life is by studying; like each and every other senior family member has earned and that is via studying. And not only studying anything; but studying science, mathematics and technology only.

The trend is deep rooted in the education system too where usually science, mathematics and technology teachers are good as compared to arts, philosophy etc kind of teachers. Currently in India there are more Engineering colleges in a state than Arts, Commerce or Economics colleges are there. Only one state has a rough number of around 500 engineering colleges as compared to only 30-40 or even less arts, commerce etc colleges nowadays. The whole education system in India has slowly deviated to provide professional degrees to students and this has proved to be major factor in maintaining a large pool of techie human resources.

Plus the job industry also set a trend since the past 10 years that only professional degrees students are being recruited largely. The basic benefit which companies sees in hiring professional graduates is that they see a lot less risk in the initial incubation period of the resources. The aptitude of professional degree courses people is always higher than the graduates from normal colleges. Plus Government also aids the underprivileged or backward Indian citizens to enable their kids to study at competitive educational platforms. All these factors forms the major factors that why Indian prime minister has not to worry about STEM student base.

Obama seeks to retain international "BRAINY" talent in USA. A good news for International students but more competition for US students...

A great news for all the International students seeking educational plans in USA came last week....When Mr. Barack Obama announced that he would like international students that have come to US soil in search of quality education will be given an extension of 17 months in Visa and possibly a long term job offer in case the foreign students are exceptional and "Brainy". I am against illegal stay of any international student in any reputed nation but as this friendly and co-operative gesture from Mr.U.S President has again showed his flow of liberal ideas so I really thought of writing a blog on it.

This is a great news for international students who wishes to gain some quality international exposure to hone their freshly acquired skills in the land of opportunities i.e. USA. Mostly students do not get enough time to utilize and showcase their real world on-job capabilities, as they are asked to leave the country as soon as they finish their studies. This small step with major benefits for both US as a nation and students will not only help US tap into more growth and sustainability of its global dominance in technology and science but also will pave a path for more "Brainy" and "Smart" students to flow in.

International Students will be largely benefited from it as they will get a genuine chance to show their true talent plus an always dreamed-of opportunity to work with the pioneers and best of the established technology giants in the world. I believe this gesture of Mr. Obama should be warmly greeted by all the student communities around the globe and we should thank him for providing each student of this planet a chance to get the best education and most the most worthwhile experience.

The only negative impact of this will be the impact of increased competition in the job market for the US national student. But this also in one aspect will help them to motivate for more zeal and instinct to compete and study science and technology.

Bad practices for a Software Test Engineer

People mostly talk about the good and the best practices but it is also important to know the worst or the bad practices which a Software ...
